Elliott Birth Story :: Lexington KY Birth Photographer
Over the past 5 years I have watched as the Elliott family grew from a family of three, to 7. Cassie first trusted me to photograph her daughter Averie as a newborn. I had just learned to use the camera, and had this sweet baby girl in front of my lens. I am beyond grateful to Cassie for allowing me to continue capturing memories for her family. As her family grew, my business grew and she was along for whole ride! It’s simply amazing to find a client that grows as a friend. It has been an honor to share in these experiences, and get to know her family over the years. Averie is now five years old, and they just welcomed two more team members to the Elliott team! This time…I was there to witness them come into the world. Welcome Tyler Hendrix & Samuel Eli!!
Cassie’s birth plan changed the week before her scheduled C-section. Never having a C-section before, her nerves got the best of her. This was her first, and her anxiety was building as she sat waiting for the nurses to say it was time. Trying to keep calm, we all sat in the room discussing high school (which we all attended together), the kids, and what life will be like once the twins were here. Life was about to change for the Elliott’s, and it was only to get better from here.
At 1:57 both twins were born! That’s right, Tyler can’t pull the “I’m the older brother” stunt. They both entered this world screaming at the top of their lungs, almost in unison. Tyler weighed in at 5 pounds 9 ounces and Samuel at 5 pounds 13 ounces. Cassie & Matt were both champs throughout the day. So strong, and there for one another. He held her hand as the boys were born, and he made sure to be there for her while the boys were taken to NICU for check ups. Beautiful, healthy, baby boys are here…and I can’t wait to finally hold the little squishes!!
